Meet A Mom 
Hi! I’m Alex Kuehn — the mom behind the new art-themed picture book Libby the Lunchbuddy!

My journey started with a (terribly drawn) character I drew for my daughter Vivienne on her own first day of school. That sketch turned into a story… and this May, Scholastic UK turned it into a beautifully illustrated book. 
One of the things that makes my book so special is the Real elementary school students from the Eastern Shore that created original artwork to help bring Libby’s world to life. I plan to collaborate with even more young artists for future books! 
Creating this story has been a huge labor of love and the most rewarding part has been showing my two daughters what it looks like to chase a dream that seems silly or impossible.
Since launch, I’ve visited schools, signed books, and even started my own company — PlumBenny Books — to keep this adventure going.
